The market is falling, still. Wachovia has been bought out, and the 700 Billion Dollar Bail out was rejected by the legislative branch of our government. I’m pretty happy about that – in my opinion people including huge finance institutions should be made to pay the piper when its their turn just like every other person and company.
…..and in typical fashion I hope that I have laid my eggs in the right basket and will be able to make it through the time frame that is going to put a hurt on so many people. = )
More pull-ups and push-ups! Less WoW.

The average salary in the state of Florida for 2007 was ~$38,000. The average home price was ~$200,000. That’s nearly five times the average salary for the average home. Everyone saw it coming, but no one wanted to jump infront of the train. Now as we stand and watch, more banks have failed this year alone then in the past five years. “Times are tough”, but not really. I still see people paying more then three dollars for every gallon of gas that they pump, more and more money wasted on alcohol and entertainment. The average just doesn’t make sense, but no one really cares it would seem. Two and a half times your salary should be the home price you are looking at said one of my economic teachers, and I wish I could hear the commentary that the same professor would have now that it would seem the average person has to go up to five times their salary.
Someone is going to make out like a bandit at the end of the whole ordeal, and it will be very interesting to see who picks up on it first, who points the finger first, and who gets put behind bars for it. It’s a little sad, a little frustrating, but overall it’s a terrible lesson that will fall on too many deaf ears.
I’m thankful for my job. The fact that I get to wake up each day and find something to do that will hopefully add to my value over the years, and keep me gainfully employed. I’m thankful for my lack of indebtedness, and liquidity at the moment. Overall I’m thankful, and hope that I continue to keep my eye on what is happening to the economy in the country that surrounds me and tells me what is happening when it is happening.
